Firefighters rescue calf trapped in 20-foot well that was in ‘serious danger of drowning’

A calf from Medway, Massachusetts has a lot to be thankful for after a frightening near-death experience.Thankfully a group of first responders were able to rescue the baby cow that “was in serious danger of drowning.”On Saturday, the Medway Fire Department shared images from a technical animal rescue where they had to pull a calf out of a 20-foot well.

“There is no such thing as a typical day in the fire service. Today, members of Medway Fire Department Group 3 executed a technical animal rescue at a local farm, after a calf fell into a 20 foot deep well and was in serious danger of drowning,” they wrote.

Luckily, firefighters, along with members of the Medway Police Department were able to rescue the calf.
