Rescued Baby Fox Loves Taking Naps With His Bunny Toy

Life in the outdoors is difficult enough for an orphaned animal. The chances of survival are exceedingly slim, and only a miracle can save the situation. Fortunately, assistance arrived just in time for this little fox.

Puggle was only a few weeks old when he was found in the garden of a London home.

He was perplexed and terrified. The National Fox Welfare Society (NFWS) was contacted right away, and the tiny one was taken in.

“When Puggle initially came in, he would often fall asleep in your hands after his feeding, like many of the cubs on the bottle,” the NFWS told The Dodo. “It was basically a case of eating and sleeping every four hours,” says the author.

Puggle’s life was anything but simple while he was alone and without a mother to soothe and nurture him. But, luckily, the cute newborn fox didn’t have to wait long to make a buddy in the form of a plush bunny toy. And, of course, when they first saw the rescue fox snuggling with his new friend, their hearts melted. He adores cuddling up with his favorite toy. They’ve become so close that they even sleep together.

The NFWS informed Bored Panda that Puggle has a love-hate connection with it. “He likes to snuggle up to the bunny when he’s weary, but after eating and playing, he likes to shake the rabbit and fling it around.”

According to the National Fish and Wildlife Service, the orphaned baby fox is now healthy and will soon be “integrated with other cubs his own age and size, in preparation for his final release back to the wild.” But, for the time being, the lovely little one is confined to the facility.
