She Was Adopted From A Shelter By A Human And Is Now Such A Good Girl

You may not think that wild animals and humans can coexist peacefully, but this incredible young lady will change your mind. Meet Kira, a lovely wolf that was abandoned by her mother and now lives happily with her human mother and 7-year-old human brother.

Kira’s original mother used to live with humans as well, but she was abandoned by her family. They handed her over to a shelter, where Kira and her siblings were born. Unfortunately, barely a few days after arriving at work, these small animals were all rejected by the inexperienced, untrusting mom.

Kira’s future was jeopardized without her mother’s love and care. Thankfully, Alida, a Russian woman, had come to the rescue. Because putting Kira back into the wild would be perilous for the lone wolf, the caring woman took her home and did everything she could to ensure she could have a worry-free life as a domesticated animal.

“There’s a good chance she’ll die if she’s released into the wild since no one taught her to hunt,” Alida added. “Kira’s mother abandoned her infants in the nursery when they were three days old, so they were fed by hand.” And I moved her away as soon as Kira became stronger, feeding her milk first.”

Of course, teaching a wolf is difficult, but Alida has given it her all. Kira has worked really hard to be able to converse and engage with other people and animals in the same way that a regular dog does.

“When she was 28 days old, I removed her from the nursery.” She is intelligent yet obstinate. She is more concerned with herself than with me while making decisions. I started the process of socializing for her right away. “She saw a lot of dogs, adults, and kids,” the woman explained.

According to Alida, Kira, like all wolves, has an intrinsic neophobia (a dread of anything new), thus she frequently lets the hesitant girl explore new locations to learn about new sights, scents, and noises. It’s taken a long time, but the hairy lady is now an expert at coping with the outside world.

“Kira’s upbringing, too, had its issues, but with time, they fade away and the effort pays off—she has a steady and calm mentality, does not respond to other dogs’ anger, and does not initiate confrontations.” Alida said, “She treats children with great care and does not approach them if they are terrified of her.”
