The Video Of A Mop-Like Dog Swimming In A Lake Has Gone Viral

Gintar Bertauskien, a veterinarian and dog groomer from Kaunas, Lithuania, had desired a Komondor dog since she was a youngster, when she got a Christmas postcard with a lovely and massive Komondor.

The woman, who realized her ambition and is now the mother of one of only two dogs of this kind in her nation, videotaped her pet while she was swimming and shared the strange footage on her Instagram account, which immediately went viral.

Hanga’s operation was partially funded thanks to the film, which has received over 32 thousand views. According to Bored Panda, this big mop-like hairy attracts a lot of attention from passers-by, who even ask for photographs next to her.

“We sometimes go to the city late at night to avoid all the attention. Hanga is a cautious dog who is wary of strangers. It might get tense if there are a lot of them.”

The character of the Komondor breed is protective, they are passive dogs in general, they were bred to protect livestock and their instinct is usually alert to act only if they feel their space is invaded or if they see problems.

Gintare adores her gigantic pet, which she acquired seven years ago in Hungary. Hanga is a superstar, and she recalls travelling 1,300 kilometers simply to get home. They like going on walks together.

The komondor requires training; they are excellent learners, and because of their temperament, size, and agility, they should be started as pups between the ages of four and eight months.

The coat of this breed of dog is generally short and white fluffy; the dreadlocks features increase with the age of the dog, obtaining the form that distinguishes them, which can take up to 6 years; considerable care is necessary to preserve the coat.
